Laura Vandervoort

The actress made her debut an actor in 1997 at age 13. At the age of 13, Vandervoort made her debut as an actor in the age group of 13. Following a variety of courses in background work and acting for Canadian series like Road to Avonlea or Harriet the Spy she landed her part as a speaking actress in the Canadian children's horror anthology Goosebumps. "2" after commercials and a role in Goosebumps and other film, including The Dresden Files (Mom's was a Date with a Vampire, Alley Cats Strike, Prom Queen, The Marc Hall Story) Vandervoort was offered the lead role on the teen drama series on CTV, Instant Star. Vandervoort's career in television began with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her next project was the part of Clark Kent's Kryptonian Cousin "Kara Kent", (the woman who was later to become Supergirl) on The CW serial-drama Smallville. Season 7, she was a series regular. The episode she appeared on was "Bloodline" in the eighth season episode. 3. In the tenth season, and the final episode of Smallville, she returned to appear in two additional episodes. Vandervoort filmed the sequel film to Into the Blue, titled Into the Blue 2 - The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film. It also featured Canadian actor Michael Ironside and Corey Sevier.
