StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime drama film. She has gone on to be seen in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman made an appearance in Narcos (2015) as well as S.W.A.T.(2017) in the first and second seasons respectively. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of her Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. By virtue of her father, she's the daughter of a U.S. citizen. Her father, the player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began on Mexican television before she made her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. [6] The film was chosen for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] however, it didn't make the final shortlist. 9. Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her performance as a film critic in 2011.
