Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and educator, playwright and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk is the daughter of a Briton, and the son of a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. As a child, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna relocated to Toronto in order to help her acting grow. The actress later was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her husband in the year 2009. They were married at a civil wedding ceremony in was held in December, and then renewed their vows in the form of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism.
