Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life by using her vivid and far-ranging imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write, she composed her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. In the same year, Gold Band Records was an independent label. In high school she established herself in the school community but her goals were bigger. The day after she graduated in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Her first charting hits on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on the show he had syndicated to television. Parton accepted the job in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her singles like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to Number. First time, in 1974.
