The Billboard Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish predominantly, as well as four songs in the year the year 2016. At the height of Despacito's popularity the track was one of 19 that mainly Spanish have made it into the Billboard Top 100. In 2020, it will have 41 songs that fall into this category. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 with a version in two languages. In the following months, several artistes collaborated with Reggaeton's biggest stars like Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma with Medellin 2019 Certain reggaeton performers lamented the trend towards mainstream music in 2020. A new band, Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the growth and evolution of reggaeton. The musician incorporated electronic dance music and others into his music.
